YA: A String in the Harp

I usually enjoy historical fiction--love the little details that arise that happen to be real and interwoven into a tale of fiction. But A Sting in the Harp by Nancy Bond just kind of made me peter out after a few chapters. Which was too bad since it is YA and historical fiction and not so terribly written. The problem, I have decided in hindsight, is that the subject of the history (in this case Old Wales) was so intensely dry that I just couldn't dredge up any enthusiasm for it and for the story it surrounded.

It took me the better part of four days to get through this novel and I doubt that I will find it in my bookshelf for very much longer.
