Fiction: The Handbook for Lightning Strike Survivors

With the varying narrators and the "sparky" personalities, this novel, by Michele Young-Stone, about the effects and the residue of being struck by lightning, seemed to have a lot to offer, but one character (Becca Burke) seemed to be more interesting than the other (Buckley), the narrative dragged for longer than necessary with the ultimate joining together of the two parallel storylines taking FOREVER and the ending a trite monstrosity. Almost too much, too saccharine, to be believable, even though it was sweet. There is a limit to happy endings, even if it wasnt so happy.
